our values
There are many things that we value at Trinity Pines. While we have not listed everything that we value, we center our ministry around four core values:
1. Believing in Jesus
When asked what a person must do to be saved, Paul and Silas responded in Acts 16:31 by saying, “Believe in the Lord Jesus.”
2. Belonging to a Family
1 Corinthians 12:27 says, “Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.” Every body part plays an important part. When one part of the body is injured or missing, the whole body feels it. That’s why we value belonging to a family so much. We’re all needed and we all play an integral part in the family.
3. Becoming a Disciple
Jesus says in Matthew 16:24, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.” Becoming a fully devoted disciple is essential to following Jesus.
4. Building His Kingdom
2 Corinthians 5:20 says, “we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us.” This means that while Jesus is the one who builds his church, he uses his people to accomplish the task. Christians are representatives of the Kingdom of God and we are given the mission to build His kingdom.
We seek to live out these values in the following ways:
1. Sunday Worship | Believing in Jesus
God’s revelation of himself in his Word has provided us with everything we need to live a godly life. In light of this truth, we structure our Sunday service solely around the Word of God. We are committed to looking to God’s Word with the songs we sing and the sermons we preach. God’s Word is a consistent and cohesive story about His plan for the redemption of mankind through the person and work of His Son, Jesus. Our commitment to God’s Word is what lead to our belief in Jesus.
2. Gospel Communities | Belonging to a Family
Our Gospel Communities are different from Bible Studies. They are a time to form meaningful relationships while increasing your love for Christ. Gospel Communities don’t take place at the church building, they take place in homes! This gives everyone a chance to deepen relationships with each other, care for each other, pray for each other and grow in their love of Christ together. Gospel Communities take place Sunday nights at 5:30 pm.
3. Bible Studies | Becoming a Disciple
Jesus says in John 14:15, “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.” To become a disciple, we have to learn what the King expects of his followers. Bible studies help us grow in God’s Word. As we study his Word, our goal is to put the things we learn into practice in our daily lives. We have Bible Studies Sunday mornings 9:30 and Wednesday Nights at 6:30. On both days, there is a Bible Study for people of all ages.
4. Outreach Events | Building His Kingdom
Even though growing and learning together is very important, we want to always remind ourselves that there are others who need the Gospel too. Our outreach events take place periodically throughout the year.
The ultimate goal of every outreach event we do is the Build God’s Kingdom.
